Chapters 426 and 427 are done, meaning ONE MORE VOLUME LEFT! I'll be releasing the last volume as a single release rather than by chapter, and it should be out in 2 weeks from now. I have to juggle trying to translate and writing up an appropriate post (fuck writer's block) to go along with the ending, like I did with Tomorrow's Joe.

Second last volume...
If you're finding it hard to understand why the Wei officers still wish to attack, even after all those times that Kongming crushed them, keep in mind that these guys can't get any promotions or rewards in a stalemate. If Shu again has supply problems and is forced to retreat, then the only one who really comes out looking great is Sima Yi and a select few high-ranking generals. But if Wei forces Shu to withdraw by actually beating them on the field, then these officers can actually profit.

RIP.
Hey now, Eumenes had some mad military skillz, despite being a secretary.
A dead Zhuge chases away a live Zhongda.
In the book, it's surprisingly Empress Mu who states strong opinions about distrusting Wei Yan and believing Yang Yi. Odd because she's not only a woman (Liu Bei's wife), but also since she's such an irrelevant character.
If Ma Dai just did his thing right here and then, the rebellion would've been crushed far earlier.
I'm actually a pretty big fan of Wei Yan, but I have to say his death is one of the best I've seen in fiction. 10/10.

ReplyDeleteSo happy to see this come to a close soon. It's been a mammoth task and lesser scanlators (like myself) would have either never picked it up or bailed way early.
ReplyDeleteI will binge the hell out of this series...

ReplyDeleteWhat will I read now ;_;
I'm really going to miss this.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading this since the first chapter you released and it's been quite an adventure i greatly enjoyed.
Thank you sir!
Hi, Hox. I'm so glad to see you on Goodreads! I hope you rate manga there as well. :) Anyways, I like Chinese history, too, though I haven't read on it as much as you have. Thanks to your shelves for giving me ideas. :D I'm excited to read Sangokushi. Just waiting for v60 to finish. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new volume!
ReplyDeleteCould you please re-upload volume 13? One of the pages seems to be corrupt (pg 146). I compared against my download from 2011 - the page seems to be corrupt in the old archive too.
Tah!
Oh, that was a corrupt raw that I was working from so I unfortunately can't fix it. All the Sangokushi v13 raws that I've has that same corrupt page so there's not much I can do. Sorry.
DeleteThat's unfortunate. Thanks for the reply!
DeleteFuck, apparently I was mistaken. I thought that was the corrupt page but it turned out be a genuine upload error. Here's a link for just that page: http://www.mediafire.com/view/d9y74t8rq41j29o/Sangokushi%20v13%20p146.png
DeleteI'll reupload v13 in a bit.
you know the most regrettable things about Zhuge Liang?
ReplyDeletehe could have conquer the world if not for being Liu Bei strategist
