Chapter 15 and 16 are done, meaning Gyanki-Hen volume 2 is now completely scanlated! Also, I only realized at the very last page of volume 2 that Zero has a custom shirt with a custom logo and everything. Damn, that's pretty baller. In other news, I have been alerted to where I can get weekly scans of Zero. However, doing v2 made me realize how much I better enjoy Zero when reading on a volume by volume basis. So I'm sorry to say that I will work from only the volume scans for Zero from now on, despite the contrary feedback I received several months ago. But at least on the bright side, a new volume comes out every 3 months so it won't seem like forever between the releases unlike with Punpun.

Nah, Hox, we still get the stuff thx to you!!
ReplyDeleteIncredible. Just astounding
ReplyDeleteYour speed for two days has been great. i just wanted to thank you for that
ReplyDeleteWow that was incredibly fast. Thank you so much. This poker arc is very auspicious. I can't wait till march.
ReplyDeleteAwww...no more Zero until March (or is it April)!? T_T
ReplyDeleteBut of course ~ it's your choice to make. Thank you very much for the speedy scanlations!
100-card poker FTW! Thank heavens it isn't mah jong again (I can't stand that game >_<)! I bet it's 'cause this is shounen, and teenage boys can hardly be expected to know - or care about - such a complicated game.
Can't wait to see what kind of tricks that old hag will pull!
Thanks for all the hard work!
ReplyDeleteIt's March. And yeah, maybe you're right about kids not knowing how to play mahjong. Never considered that possibility. I thought Fukumoto just got tired of doing only mahjong all the time.
ReplyDeleteHox thaks!!! keep going, take your time!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the amazing work so far! March isn't far away. Let's be patient, people.
ReplyDeleteI don't get why the Fukumoto fandom hate mahjong so much. Personally I'd love to see him make another manga like Akagi or Ten in the future.
>I'm sorry to say that I will work from only the volume scans
ReplyDeleteGood, the volume scans look so nice compared to the magazine scans.
Anyways, thank you.
No complaints, seeing as you work fast with volume releases, and I share the preference of reading in volumes.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hox!
thank you! I don't like magazine scans so I agree with that decision!
ReplyDelete>I don't get why the Fukumoto fandom hate mahjong so much. Personally I'd love to see him make another manga like Akagi or Ten in the future.
only FAKE Fukumoto fans hate Mahjong.. underage kids should learn how to play instead of complaining
Thanks for the releases. I prefer volume scans myself, so don't think that all of us will hate you for your decision.
ReplyDelete"Fake Fukumoto fans"? Pfft ~ WTH are those?
ReplyDeleteBut I doubt the "real Fukumoto fans" can deny his non-mah jong manga (Kurosawa, Kaiji parts 1-2 & 4, Gin to Kin, Zero, and the short series he did with Kawaguchi Kaiji)are vastly superior to his mah jong ones. Well, all except Buraiden Gai, which was sorta childish.
Bwahaha at FAKE fukumoto fans XD, he must be trolling
ReplyDeleteWhere can I get the weekly scans?
ReplyDeleteDidn't Gin to Kin have Mahjong in it?
ReplyDeleteWeekly scans are available on http://lc-comic.blogspot.com/, which scans the entirety of Weekly Shounen Magazine every week.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, I also like reading Zero on a volume by volume basis, so great news. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDelete@Chrysanthemum
ReplyDeleteHow are those manga "vastly superior" to FKMT's mahjong manga? On what basis do you reach that decision? Just because you don't understand and/or like mahjong doesn't mean his mahjong manga are in any way worse.
Mahjong is clearly FKMT's passion and Ten & Akagi are without a doubt FKMT's magnum opus (or at least up there with Kaiji).
@Chrysanthemum
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I don't agree in the slightest with the elitist Anon earlier, but dismissing all Fukumoto's mahjong manga as 'inferior' makes you just as immature as him.
Exactly how are they 'vastly inferior'? Ten and Akagi have just as much psychology, philosophy and mind games as Kaiji. The one difference is that they are harder to get into for people unfamiliar with the game. If you don't like mahjong, fine. Just don't try to make your opinion sound objective.
I'm ok with mahjong, i just hate that he wants to put it in EVERY manga he does. When something is about mahjong, it's all mahjong, when it's not, there shouldn't be. Damn Kaiji 3, i still haven't read it but from what i've heard it doesn't look like it's goo as the first two.
ReplyDeleteThat`s good, though. I much prefer to be able to sit and read the entire volume at a time, but I don`t have the willpower to hold out while you release single chapters.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the hard work.
