Gyanki-Hen Complete

And part 2 of Gambling Emperor Zero is finally complete at 10 volumes. I know this part was rather lacking in the crazy life-or-death gambles that we were so fond of back in part 1, but I hope you found it entertaining nontheless. Here's hoping that part 3, whenever it comes, will be more full of insane, over-the-top action.

  1. FKMT sure likes to have fun with this series, heh. I didn't mind Part 2 at all, but I'm glad we're fully back on track again. Thanks for all your work until now, Hox.

    1. Gonna be focusing on Joe and releasing a special 1-volume long manga sometime in the fall as well.

    2. Great news! I was just going to ask about Joe. Very happy to see that one continued and I'm sure the wait will be well worth it.

  6. Thanks for your efforts! Really fast releases, this was very enjoyable. Damn you Fukumoto for ending it on a cliffhanger AGAIN.

Is it just me or does Zero have some kind of burn on his stomach? Maybe after the surprise fall that ended the first part, and this may as well be the source of Shirube's wounds as well.

    1. Shirube got out of the car before it went over the cliff, that's the one and only thing fukumoto gave us an answer for, before giving us yet more questions.

  11. So it seems like even Shirube can't handle the gambles on the island. Can't wait to see how Zero's going to manage with those gambles.

  16. What about you ,Hox? Did you like this part of Zero? I thought it was great even without deadly gambles, it had many imotional moments , like Kijurou's resque. I hope that 3rd part will arrive next year, and also still I'm hoping you will change your mind about translatin Kurosawa 2nd part !

    1. I thought it was a lot of fun, and Zero's new sidekicks certainly helped with that. Really, the only thing I would change about part 2 is to tighten up the story-telling so that the Kijurou arc would be 2 volumes shorter. Fukumoto is absolutely dreadful at being concise.

  17. Thank you Hox!! We will probably have to wait another year or more until FKMT continues Zero.

Btw, have you read Gin to Kin, and would you consider picking it up some time in the future? There have been no scanlations for over a year now.

  18. Funny enough the lack of remorse to lock your father for 3 years is exactly the kind of harsh psychopathic action that a capitalist system demands from a president of a company.

  19. By any chances will you bridge the other two groups translating Fukumoto's mangas also?

  20. Is it strange that after 10/20 minutes wandering here I can't find the download links for full v8/v9?

  22. Hopefully we get a Part 3 announcement pretty soon.

This is as epic as Kaiji and Akagi!!
Cosidering Akagi is only about Mahjong and Kaiji is more about emotion/feelings of the characters this is my favourite manga.
